The term Lady


When we say Bibi Maryam or Bibi Fatima, the respectful term "Bibi" would be translated as "Lady" in English. But just as the term "Hazrath" means more than the normal use of the word indicates, so is the case with Bibi. (Some people actually use Hazrath when referring to the great women Islam).

The term Hazrath comes from Huzoor or Hazir, the root in Arabic means "Presence." These people are present.
